A very sublime album this with no obvious singles, instead the individual tracks are more collections of small soundbites fused together to produce quite dazzling results.
Most of the numbers are quite gentle and graceful, yet surprisingly hypnotic. Incredibly simple melodies are fused with orchestral samples and basic instrumentation resulting in an warm analogue feel. Once Colleen finds the perfect riff she repeats it over and over adding the tiniest layers of vinyl crackle.
Like a well-produced dance track, the songs start simple and build into a groove that locks you in. The production is exquisite, resulting in a real depth and warmth to these little gems, with influences ranging from Classical, Oriental, Electronic and so on.
With so many twists and turns, you'll never grow old of such a treasure. A real rare and unique treat. Lush and beautiful throughout.
